Bells of San Angelo - #VHS1273
|
Set in the modern west, a silver-smuggling racket headed by rotten Rex Gridley, must be stopped by Roy Rogers. However, the hero is not able to outwit the outlaws! And, in fact, is badly beaten by the bad guys halfway through the film. The writer of fanciful cowboys novels, Lee Madison (Dale Evans) actually saves the day! "King of the Cowboys" icon is thereby humanized by this turn of events and the film is all the better for it.
